Long story short she got really sick a few days ago and was in the hospital twice, plus she had to get medications. Please help her by either getting a badge, donating, or at least letting others know about her.
If you REALLY wanna help out fast she does fursuit stuff (suits, parts and props.) She can't work much on that now cause she's stuck in bed for a bit, but I'm sure it would be -really- appreciated.

So, first bit of good news: John got a job ^_^ He'll be working at Universal. It's only seasonal unfortunately, but I think we can work around that. Possibly get him hired into a more permanent role at the park. I'm still looking for a job right now, but I'm focusing mostly on school right now.. which brings me to:
The second bit of good news. I'm back in school finally. Going to Valencia down in Osceola for an EMT certificate ^^
I'm feeling pretty good about this course. When I get done round November or December I'll take the state exam and should soon after be licensed to be an EMT. Drive an ambulance and help save lives and all ^_^
I dunno about getting a job as an EMT, the job market even for them is pretty full right now. Pretty much have ta use that to go into firefighting or paramedic school or some other level of healthcare. I'm gonna try for about a month after I get licensed to get a job if I don't already have one (any job, EMT or no.) If I can't get a job by that time I'm thinking I'm gonna end up joining the Army or Air Force. I'll see about getting them to pay for nursing school :p Come out an RN and an officer ^^
My ultimate goal with this EMT training is to go to nursing school and be a flight nurse. Basically like a Paramedic, only a little more trained. And I'd be on a helicopter with the really bad patients.
Anyways, for now I got those two good bits of good news... here's hoping for more to come ^_^

So.. really can't say much about Megaplex except that it was awesome ^^
The whole con has blurred together, and I wasn't even drunk ever.
To everyone I hung out with: Thank you so much ^^ it wouldn't have been half as much fun without you guys
Cessna and Onai: Thanks so much for letting us use up some of the little space you had in your room to hang out
Rejax and Bill: Thanks for letting us stay in the room ^_^ Without that we probably would have missed half the con.
Mach and Shep: You guys are awesome to hang out with and talk to. It's been a long time since I had a nice long talk. Oh, and thanks for the gift ; )
So.. I woke up this morning and Cartoon Network is playing Christmas Specials o.o Freaked me the fuck out.
I honestly though (while still half asleep and trying to wake up) that it was Christmas time....
I guess they caught wind of Megaplex's theme this year :p
Oh, and REALLY good news may be soon.... don't wanna jinx it though.

So Tsuki IMed me really early in the morning (I was still up <.<) and got all hyper about me checking FA.
Behold the awesomeness that I found when I did check:

It's amazing ^_^ Tsuki doesn't admit it, but she's really a good artist. ^^
On an unrelated note I've been amusing myself with http://www.liveatc.net/
Live Air Traffic Control. I'm listening to Orlando in the background.... I have no idea what most of this means ._.
PS: Just two seconds after posting this I got more art.. this time from Onai ^_^
Adorable!

Because colleges are fucking stupid.
No, not the ide of college, just the way they're run. I remember when I wen't to FSU, and Daytona Beach Community College, I remember all the friends of mine who have gone to college or are still going. I remember all the issues involved there. And I'm still surprised about the assinine way colleges are run.,
At VCC these are the issues:
1) To get my ID I have to register for classes and pay for them
2) To pay for classes I have Florida Prepaid, but their system can't enter next semester's info until July 6th.. even though I have the info RIGHT NOW
3) To register for classes I have to finish an orientation class (even though I have 2 different colleges under my belt and shouldn't need to take a class to prepare myself for this specific college)
4) The online portion of the Orientation class that I need to take before I can take the in person portion is broken.
I must be doing something wrong with the online portion of the test, right? Nope.
I logged in, read section one of part one (yes the class that is broken into two parts, is then broken into more parts, which are broken up even more) then I read section two, then three, then when I try to read section four it doesn't work. I try again. Still just won't bring up anything but an error. So I skip forward to take the assessment cause I have unlimited attempts (what is the point to this?) and pass it. So I decide to go on to the next part. That won't let me in. Apparently even though I pass assessment one and passing that assessment is the only thing required to go to part 2, I've not met the requirements to go to part 2.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY'S EDUCATION!
A place designed to teach me a higher level of education, to get me to think about better ways to do things, etc. is not usimg these skills to help get students into their doors.
I mean, I just found out that college tuition prices are going UP. UP?! How does that make any sense? When people looe their jobs they go back to college, the past has shown this, current trends show this. But colleges are reacting to not having enough money by making it harder for people to get in to pay them? I mean.. doesn't it make more sense for the colleges to -lower- tuition, so more people go to college and they get more people paying them?
Sorry to rant, but this country's secondary education system makes my brain hurt. Don't even get me started on High Schools and "No Child Left Behind" (reasons I didn't become a teacher)

Well thanks to a lot of good friends coming to the rescue we now have:
1) My insurance paid directly by one friend
2) $150 from one friend
3) $50 from one friend
4) $200 from one friend
5) $20 from on friend (for gas, my car's tank is full now so we can go out to the few places that aren't doing online hiring)
6) An offer to have our resumes cleaned up to help us get jobs
We're gonna be giving the extra $400 dollars back to the people who gave it to us.
Our plans now are for Alex and I to continue bettering ourselves (such as teaching ourselves German,) John and I are going to look for jobs, come this next school semester (barring any setbacks) I'm going back to school to get an EMS Certificate. If I can make it to Christmas time, I should have a good paying job. Not quite $20 an hour, but still in the double digits. I'm still trying to get my job back at Disney, but for now that's taking a back seat to getting a job the regular way.
If things fall apart again in the future I do have a plan. I've always been interested in Military service and I do have good ASVAB scores. If I end up in a bad position again this will likely be my response. I've decided that I'm not going to leave John here move I go across the country, and I'm not going to drag him away from his family. I understand the issues involved in joining the military, but I would rather do this than move to Oregon.
Thank everyone for their support. You've given us the one more month that I needed. We'll still live in Florida for quite a while even if I have to go with the military over seas. You've shown us how much we're cared for and we're eternally grateful for everyone being there.

Hey everyone, circumstances have dictated that we require financial aid in keeping my mate's car insurance up and running.
As such, if we are not able to pay for this month's bill, $200.00 by the 20th, we are gonna be forced to move up to Oregon.
Honestly, if it comes down to Sparky's parents moving us up there, we probably won't be back for a very very long time.
I ask this not as free money, we ask this as a loan, or something to work for.
If there is any way that someone could help us, then we would in turn work hard for that money, however we either don't have jobs at this time, and are still working hard at trying to get them.
If you know anyone who would be willing to help, or wish to help yourself, please let us know.
If we can't get this together, we will probably be gone within a week.
If you wanna get in contact we're available by email at blizzard87@cfl.rr.com

So, apparently Arizona supports the formation of a new United States in the event that the current federal government oversteps it's bounds much more then it has.
Sounds like the start of something big. I've been feeling it coming, I feel that in the coming years there will either be A) a president that can fix the major injustices in America B) a revolt/revolution of the general populous against the Federal government or C) The (hopefully peaceful) disobedience of the LGBT community against the governments that will not allow basic human rights to the LGBT people.
I hope that the first is what happens and that we can come to a peaceful end to these problems. But I can easily see states trying to either create a separate union, or The People showing through action how they disagree with the government.
All I hope for is that if the states exercise their rights "to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to [them]selves and [their] Posterity" -Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America

I think, regardless of the Federal vs. State issue coming up, that it's about time for the LGBT people to start practicing civil disobedience.

Real quick update: On my lunch break today I got a phone call from the Disney Casting Center. Long story short they have a position for me in Entertainment and I start training Oct 7th. I can't wait ^^ I'll get a raise from $7/hr to $7.60/hr... Not too much more, but every bit helps. Plus, I'll be changing unions since the Attractions and Entertainment unions are different. I'll be a Teamster. May be able to help sort out the legal issues that cons have with bringing equipment into Hotels.
Most of all I'm extremely excited ^^ but I'm also gonna miss all my Speedway friends. I'll probably pick up hours at Speedway every once in a while to keep in touch... or just go see them when I'm off.

Alright... another reason to get out of the house ASAP:
My StepFather walks in the door, there's an extra light on in the kitchen while I'm in the living room (literally 1 energy saver light bulb) his first words "Why are all the lights on?" verbatim.
I get this a lot too. I'm in the shower for 15 minutes and he comes and knocks on the door (police "I'm gonna break down the door" style knock) and I get accused of being in for 30+ minutes or using up "all" the water.

So, a little bit to update:
I got to work the first hour and a half of Night of Joy last night. Hate the guests, love the job.
The guests are all (pre)teen aged kids with some problem listening to rules, even though they're there for a christian concert.
I can't even say how many times I had to stop 5 cars from bumping into eachother and let one through at a time.
Then go to the next side of the turn in the track, and stop them again.. this time threatening to kick them off.
Idiots... just.. idiots. But SO much fun to see their faces when they're caught.
Found out that while I was working 8:30am to 8:15pm I was also scheduled at Moe's for 6:15pm to 11. May loose my job because the GM can't figure out how to read the disney schedule and NOT overlap. That's fine, I'll just screw with her if I'm fired. As in call the Corporate office and explain about some problems we've been having.
Interesting story today involving Disney magic. Ok, on Speedway there are metal tracks that keep the cars in line. There are parts of those tracks that can be lowered into the roadway to remove/add the cars (we call these gates). The cars have guidewheels that are millimeters off the ground and keep the cars from jumping the track. IF a car happens to jump the track it usually involves alot of speed, alot of violent motion, and alot of noise... plus damage to either track, car, or both. Now the magic: a car (traveling slowly) earlier today ended up off the track without a sound, without any damage, without the gates lowered, and with the guidewheels in place. Just kinda seemed to glide through the track as if the guidewheels and track weren't there. Magic.
Lastly: I got SOAKED at work today. Forgot to bring the pants part of my rain gear, so I got soaked from mid-thigh down. Including my shoes filling with water. They're drying in the oven right now. Apparently there was a 10% chance of rain... that turned into a torrential down pour with the rain being blown at a 45 degree angle. Freak hurricane practically.
Oop.. that last thing isn't really the last... I got a trichotomy going on now. I'm an Arctic Fox, with a tan, who's apparently an honorary black guy (from my co-workers)

Alrighty! So I've been having fun at the Speedway still ^^
Most of the fun has been complaining with the other cast members about guests who don't listen at all :P
I swear, Disney must have a "check your brain at the gates" sign I've never seen... makes for an interesting day though.
Started working a bit more on my suit today, unfortunately I've been having trouble figuring out how to glue two pieces of pool noodle. Hot glue melted it, spray glue got it a -little- sticky. Now I've got Gorilla Glue on it, got to wait 2 hours though to see if that works...
Watching Snakes on a Plane right now.... horrible movie, but kinda good in a corny way.
Got nothing to do today but to vacuum the house >< and to go to the coffee shop meet tonight ^^
In other news there's only 3 guys at Moe's that aren't gay, and one of them is HIGHLY in question. It's become kinda an inside joke among us.
Right now, I'm just watching a snake explode in an airplane microwave.
Edit: Gorilla Glue works ^_^ Now I just have to glue 3 more spots and wait 2 more hours

The reactions. This requires a story:
Last night my training required us to go over closing (meaning working after dark) and it also required us working Bridge. ~Bridge is a position where you're standing out on/next to the track with minimal lighting~ Well I happened to have though ahead and brought some glowsticks with me. While up on Bridge I cracked the glowsticks open and started directing traffic with them ^_^ I was having loads of fun when some kid came up and asked for a glowstick.. so I handed her one. Then the person in the next car wanted one.. so they got the last one. So I was out of glowsticks, but I had fun with them while they lasted, and more fun seeing the reactions of the people I gave them too
And that's what I love about Disney, the reactions of guests that come expecting to be treated like a customer, and end up treated like.. a guest.

Having Fun
Holding a full time Attractions job at Disney and part time at Moes all at the same time may kill be unless I get my schedules re-arranged. However, it's LOTS of fun ^^
So far I've started training at the Speedway (I think Tomorrowland regular costumes are better, but Speedway is ok) and ridden every ride in Tomorrowland except the Astro-Orbiter. Just today we rode Space Mountain. Better yet, we walked around under the track in Space with the lights on.
Got to be part of a Magic Moment today when we let a little kid start the races at the Speedway. He loved it.
I've also been crowd control at the 3:00 parade, got to see RobinHood. (I had to mentally restrain myself and do my job when he came around) I love everything about this job except dealing with the commute.
I can't wait to cross train for the rest of Tomorrowland. I can actually see this being a Career
Sleepy time now before I have to go into Moes again.

Since the last post was simply to describe the auditions and give pointers, I'm making a new post for an update.
Soon as I'm done typing here, I'll be carving out the toes and other pieces for my fursuit footpaws. The foam is ready, and the pattern is awaiting.
Right now I'm still stuck at home, but with the job at Disney I'll be making more money. Hopefully I can get an apartment within the next month or so and be out of here.. it all depends on my money, and Fafner's schedule.
I spent the day yesterday with my Boyfriend, Meadmoon. We missed Elliot's party cause he couldn't make it.. but being with him doubly made up for that. I had an awesome time, and am having a difficult time putting my feelings into appropriate words. We saw the Simpsons Movie and enjoyed it, also enjoyed going to a DollarTree and buying plenty of glowsticks ^^
Think that that's all.. I'll edit if I think of something else ^^
So I got something else ^^ I finished carving out the foam for one paw ^_^
Just need to head out to Walmart and get more foam to make my right foot paw

Alrighty Twinkie ^^ sorry for the wait. For anyone interested in the Disney Auditions (since it's open to everyone and we weren't asked to keep it a secret):
First I went into this big room where a bunch of people were waiting and filled out some paperwork, got a little sticker with my number on it. When they called my number they took my height and picture and had me wait longer. When everyone had finally gone through with that and the time to sign in had run out, they called all of us into a dance hall. In there, we were taught a dance, then lined up in groups of 4 to dance our new dance across the hall (I screwed up the first time across, but on the second time I got it.)
After this we were split into 3 groups. One group went off into the advanced dance course, one was sent to talk to recruiters about other jobs, and the last (mine) was kept there to do 'animation.' My group was split into groups of 5 and each of those groups was given a scene to mime. I had to mime getting stuck in a lift (I believe that'll make more sense for you Ottah, there's alot of information to absorb without translation.) After this, we were sent out to sit and wait along the hall and called in as small random groups. Each of those groups was given the task of pretending to be a robber who's just heard the alarm, but who's also still very interested in stealing.
After going through that we had to go out and sit for longer and wait for our number to be called. When I heard my number I was among a group that was taken -back- to the dance hall to try out puppeting. In there
we practiced a couple times, then got ping-pong balls strapped to the top of out hands. We then had to lip-sync to a Bare-Naked Ladies song (though knowing it wasn't necessary).
After all of that I had to go wait in the big room again. When my number was called for the last time, I went up to a table with a couple of other guys my height. A woman there explained that the three of us -had- passed the auditions. Unfortunately, there were no character jobs open for our height. SO we were put into the waiting pool, where for the next six months we'll be on a list of people who are qualified for the character jobs. If they have an opening they'll give one of us a call.
As for my current job at Disney, I got that through discussing a "Plan B" with the interviewer. When I was told that a character job wasn't open, the woman at the auditions asked me if I still wanted to go with the Plan B. I said yes. Then just Friday I went to Disney, filled out a lot of paperwork, was fingerprinted, and then was told where to go for Orientation.
For anyone wanting to Audition there are some tips:
-Always smile
-Always be energetic and happy
-Act like a 5 year old when you're going through the animation stage. If a five year old would pretend to crack one giant egg rather then 3-4 to make a cake, pretend to crack the large one.
-When animating, think BIG. Try to make all motions over-exaggerated.
-When dancing, don't give up. If you mess up just keep going.
-Never show how tired you are, no matter how tired you actually are. They want someone who can stand up to a full day of work in the Florida heat, and look like they just got started. Be hyper.
-Have fun! Remember the spirit and actions of all the Disney cast member's that you've interacted with as a guest, and do what they would do.
Lastly, don't give up.. they have people try out time and time again. If you don't make it into the character job the first time, try again when the next auditions are held ^^
I hope this helps Ottah, and anyone else thinking of auditioning ^_^

Woo! I work for the Big Rat now, aka Mickey Mouse. I spent 3 hours going through character auditions and found out that they liked me, but they have no positions for my height. SO, they hired me into my Plan B: Tomorrowland Attractions ^^
So... you may see me outside of Space Mountain (or inside) or many of the other good rides.
I'm really happy ^^ Tomorrowland is actually my favorite part of the park.
Now! To find an apartment near there.. tis an hour commute on a good day.
